I seek in my art to bring what I have sensed and experienced, my memories, my understanding and wisdom, into my paintings; to create so that the viewer can touch with their eyes what I have come to know.

Current Work

This work reflects the Healing From The Inside Out series which began in 2013 and was completed in 2019.

The journey these paintings transverse began with consciousness around wounds, traveled through containment, entered into gratitude and healing and ended in receiving.

Intentional Process Painting

The act of entering into an intentional creative process is based upon the belief in initiation. Once the process is chosen, the initiation begins.

Healing Window Paintings

The healing window paintings are created to provide a resource for individuals who are healing or restoring themselves in some way.

The healing quality of these paintings comes from their images and colors, the energy, movement and texture of the paint and the effect these aspects have when they respond to light.

Ghost Cloth Paintings

In my private practice I guide others to move liquid watercolor on paper as a form of non-verbal expression. This is done with rags I tie around cotton balls. The remainder, the pieces of rag left behind, are stained with colors and for me contain a residue of energy from the individuals who used them. Using clear Gesso I have attached these cloths to surfaces and created the following paintings completing them with oil and oil pastel.
